Your first visit
Which class should I start with?
New to Pilates? Start with ACTIVATE, our beginner mat class. IGNITE is open to all levels and a great next step. Not sure? Book either and tell your instructor it’s your first time. Explore our classes
What’s the difference between mat Pilates and barre?
Mat Pilates builds core strength, control and mobility through floor-based work. Barre (ALIGN) uses a ballet barre for small, precise movements that build strength and endurance, especially in the legs and glutes.
How big are the classes?
Never more than eight people, so your instructor can see you and help with your form.
What should I wear and bring?
Comfortable clothes you can move in. Grip socks are ideal, but normal socks are fine. Mats and all equipment are provided, and drinks are available to buy at the studio.
When should I arrive?
About 10 minutes early on your first visit, so we can say hello and get you settled.
Is there parking?
Yes, there’s parking on site, so no need to stress. Park on the drive, or in the parking area at the bottom of the drive.
Where can I put my things?
There’s space to store your shoes and clothes while you train.
Booking and cancelling
How do I book?
Book through our timetable. Your first class is just £12. After that, choose a class pack or membership.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel more than 24 hours before class and your credit goes straight back to your account. Cancellations within 24 hours, and no-shows, lose the credit. Bookings close one hour before class.
What if I’m running late?
We understand things happen. Come in quietly and your instructor will help you settle in, unless it isn’t safe to join at that point. Please try to arrive on time, as repeated late arrival may mean you can’t take part.
What if a class is full?
Join the waiting list. If a place opens up until one hour before class, you’ll be booked in automatically and notified, so please leave the list if you can no longer make it.
Health
I’m pregnant, postnatal or managing an injury. Can I come?
Yes, you’re welcome in any class. Let us know when you book and tell your instructor before class, and they’ll adapt the movements for you. We recommend checking with your GP or midwife first.
Packs and memberships
How long do class packs last?
The 4 Session Pass (£60) lasts six weeks and the 8 Session Pass (£100) lasts three months. See class packs
How do memberships work?
Memberships are monthly, with a minimum term of three months. After that they continue month to month until you cancel with one month’s notice. Credits are for the month they’re issued and don’t roll over. You can pause once a year, for up to a month, with seven days’ notice. See memberships
What is the founding rate?
The first 20 members of The Collective lock in our founding rate of £175 a month for as long as they stay members. After that, The Collective is £200 a month.
Full details are in our Terms and Conditions.
